CE Hours

 CONTINUING EDUCATION

  The 2020 Wilderness Therapy Online WTS  is   co-sponsored by the Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare Council  (OBHC)  and  The Institute for Continuing Education.   The program  offers a total of  9.00   contact hours.   Continuing education credit is awarded on a session-by-session basis with full attendance required for each session in which you participate.    Partial session credit is not offered.   There is no additional fee to apply for CE credit.   Webinar  participants  who wish to receive continuing education should follow instructions from OBH for downloading, completion, and submitting CE paperwork following the Webinar.   

              

Course Completion:  To qualify to receive continuing education credit, participants  must (1)  complete and return all CE materials to The Institute for Continuing Education within 30-days of the Online WTS.  CE verification is mailed to CE applicants  within 30-days of receipt of completed CE materials.

 

Attendance Monitoring:   Each Webinar will be assigned a unique CE Code, which will be announced by faculty during the presentation.  Participants must write this Code on the CE Application form in the space provide.  This inclusion of this CE Code on the CE Application Form will serve as proof of your participation .

Continuing Education Offered:

Psychology:  The Institute for Continuing Education is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor  continuing education for psychologists.  The Institute for Continuing Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content.   Not all sessions may be approved for psychology credit.

 

Counseling: For counselors seeking CE credit, The Institute for Continuing Education will submit a co-sponsorship application to NBCC for this program.   Not all sessions may be approved for counseling CE credit.  This website will be updated regarding approvals.

New York:  The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors.  Provider MHC-0016.

 

Social Work:  Application for social work continuing education credits has been submitted.  Not all sessions may be approved for social work credit.  This website will be updated regarding approvals.

New York:  The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers.  Provider No. SW-0025.

 

 

Marriage/Family Therapy:    The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized by the Florida Dept. Health, Division of Counseling, Social Work, MFT, as a provider of continuing education, Provider BAP 255, expiration 03/2022.

New York MFT:  The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.   Provider MFT-0012.

Ohio:   Provider RTX 100501,

 

California Professionals:  The Institute for Continuing Education, Provider 56590, is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs.  The Institute for Continuing Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content.  This Course meets the qualifications for up to 9.00 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCC, as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

 

Skill Level:   Due to the interdisciplinary nature of this event, sessions have not been ranked for skill level  ( beginning, intermediate, advanced).  Participants are urged to review session description for appropriateness for professional and personal development.

 

Instruction Methodology:   May include lecture, audio-visual, demonstration, experiential practice of techniques, large and small group discussion

 

Ethics Hours / Academic Credit:  The Conference offers no “academic” credit and CE hours awarded are not eligible toward fulfillment of a degree.  No “ethics” hours are offered.
