The Wilderness Therapy Symposium
Due to the need to cancel both of our in-person Wilderness Therapy Symposiums in 2020, we have created a 2-day ONLINE WTS (10/15-10/16/20) this year to meet the needs of our OBH community, to keep us all connected, and to continue to offer educational workshops on Wilderness Therapy/OBH topics.
You will need to register directly within Hopin Registration to reserve your ticket for the 2020 Online WTS. Ticket price (includes choice of 13 workshops) is $200 for General Admission, $150 for OBHC Member program staff, or $75 Students (current student i.d. required).
For the 2020 Online WTS, we have also chosen to have a general Symposium theme of “Diversity & Inclusion”, so the majority of the workshops offered in the Online WTS will have that topic area as the guiding theme. We will also include a few workshops not specifically addressing that topic area to provide some additional choices for our participants.
There will be a total of 13 workshops offered during the 2-day Online WTS, with several 1.5 hour workshop choices offered in each of the time-slots. We will also be featuring a 3-hour Diversity Education workshop from Dr. Dante Bryant, where he will build upon the engaging workshops that he has offered during our WT Symposiums the past few years.
See schedule page for more details regarding the workshops and to download the workshop schedule and descriptions.
The Online WTS conference platform that we will be using this year is HOPIN. More information regarding Hopin will be sent to registered participants. Hopin allows for multiple concurrent breakout sessions and includes features very similar to Zoom meeting functionality. Hopin will also permit an Expo area, and more information about Expo/Sponsorship opportunities can be found on our Exhibitors & Sponsor page.
If you need CEUs for licencing, we are anticipating that approximately 1/3 of the workshops will be approved for CEU credit through the Institute for CE. We will have at least one CEU eligible workshop per time-slot, and more information regarding CEUs for the Online WTS can be found on our CE Hour webpage.
The National Symposium pages (see left-hand sidebar) of this website contain a lot more additional information about the Online WTS, so please be sure to check out those pages for additional information.
